General Thoughts

Overall, I was very surprised and interested to learn more about all of the features previously unknown to me on Flickr. I think that I initially did have a general misconception that Flickr was only a photo storage and sharing site. However, in thinking about all of the different ways in which the photo collections can be used, I came to realize the power of this tool in building community, disseminating information in a visual form, and providing an environment in which individuals can share ideas, present their perspectives, critically analyze the visual inputs they receive, and create projects that send potent messages to their viewers.
